The U.S. Dept of Energy, of which LLNL is a part, was tasked to discover a new inhibitor to combat the virus that causes COVID-19. The supercomputer assisting in this research, named Ruby, was built in collaboration with Intel, Supermicro, and Cornelis Networks.
